Way back in 1847, a young Bavarian immigrant by the name of Johann Gramp planted the Barossa Valley’s first commercial vineyard on the banks of Jacob’s Creek. Today, Johann’s original cellar is still standing at Jacob’s Creek and keeps sending us wine to distribute by the ship load.


The Stowells name has been associated with wine for over 125 years, since Frederick Stanley Stowells opened his first wine store in Ealing, London. His forward looking consumer orientated approach is still very much the style of the Stowells brand we know today and we help it travel the world.


A graduate of London's famous St. Bartholomew's Hospital, Henry Lindeman discovered winemaking while travelling through Europe in the late 1830's.  Now JW Wines does the travelling for him as his brand name continues to grow.
